It always surprises me to see 25 December listed as the date of marriage – I’ve got half a dozen, and don’t have marriage details for a good many of the people in my trees. I’m assuming that it was one of the few days that workers could have time off.
In my immediate tree:
- Emma Easter married Thomas Whiting in 1878
- Anne Holland married George Willshaw in 1832
- Eleanor Huntingdon Carter married John Parry in 1855
Managed to find about 20 certificates today, despite the library fire alarms being set off due to dust from the repairs being done on the lift.
Also got round to changing the template on my main site so it matches this one a bit better, and updated some of the info on the listed families.
