A Glut of Golesworthy’s

Thanks to an incredibly generous distant relative by marriage (he and my husband share a great-grand-father) who has been researching the Golesworthy family for 40 years, and who has shared relevant research with me, I have added three generations to that part of the tree, and corrected an error that I’d made with a marriage.

He also included a lot of relevant history and timeline info, which makes it all so much more interesting. Two smallpox epidemics wiped out all the Golesworthy’s in Honiton in the 1720’s and 1730’s – but they returned to repopulate the town in the 1740’s and 50’s.

I spent this morning digging through the census and BMD records, and have added in the basics. Now I just have to add in the other children, addresses, occupations, and update the main website.

Thanks, GG!
